This is the Pulsar community weekly update for 2020-01-11 ~ 2020-01-17, with updates on 2.5.0 release and new proposals about refreshing authentication credentials and message acknowledgment with batches.
[Release] Pulsar 2.5.0 is released!
[Release] Sijie Guo raised a discussion to introduce release labels for managing minor releases. The vote is in progress.
[Release] The community is discussing a 2.4.3 bug fix release.
[BookKeeper] BookKeeper community is discussing abstracting bookie network address from ledger metadata.
[CI] GitHub action based CI has matured quite a bit. The community is voting for migrating CI from Jenkins to GitHub actions.
[PIP-54] Acknowledgement for local index of batch message.
[PIP-55] Refresh authentication credentials.
[Go Functions] Replace cgo client with native Go client in Go Function.
[Broker] Support delete inactive topic when subscriptions caught up.
